Here are two pieces from last month that are more successful. My work has tended to be very linear and architectural and so I'm trying to bring some organic forms into play as well as not be so controlled in my mark making. Let gooooo a little.
Today my goal is to make 10 tiny collages on the fly! eek
you are so incredible. the 2nd one looks like a beating heart- alive and pumping. the first looks like it belongs in my living room. i love you creative sister. thanks for inviting me in to this. xoxox- Ann
ReplyDeleteThanks Ann. I love the "alive and pumping". I need more of that. xx
Deletelove them both as well; i want to dive into the blue in the first one. and I echo Ann's comment that you are indeed incredible.
ReplyDeleteThanks Danielle.
ReplyDeleteThese are so beautiful! I love the blue especially because of its watery allure. The second is so intricate, impossibly fine!
ReplyDeleteWatery allure! Thanks Eileen. xx

ReplyDeleteAnn is so right the second one looks like a beating heart. bagsy the first one for my white monochrome bedroom in sweeden, or right here in london! it's so peaceful and makes me climb in.
ReplyDeleteThanks Triona. I love that it needs to be in Sweden. I want to live there with you!
DeleteI am in awe of the overlays! Seeing your work in person today, I can't get over the delicacy of this lace made from the sketchpad cover. Also, the second collage is the one I want!
Deleterecognizing that these overlays are not the same as the one I saw today.
Deletelove the second one. it's ok to be architectural. i may be a bit biased though.
ReplyDelete! love architecture! It's a safe spot for me tho' and I need to push on that a bit. Thanks for checking out the blog.
Deletewow. these are amazing. yes "alive and pumping" and beautifully vibrantly nightmarish too... in a good way.. if that's possible. what i mean is they evoke much feeling & emotion.
ReplyDeletethe first one is deeply peaceful.. the second i find disturbing - in a good way.
ReplyDeleteBecca,
DeleteI love that you see both beauty and nightmare in these. Great combo!
